Kerry Accelerates Disastrous Obama-Hillary's Policies

Foreign Policy: John Kerry belongs in the Guinness Book for worsening America's status and influence faster than ever thought possible. Not that that absolves Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton of blame.

'Forward" was President Obama's re-election slogan, apparently a wink at Marxist publications like Engels' "Vorwaerts" (German for forward) and Lenin's "Vpered" (Russian for forward). But when it comes to foreign policy failures, he and his secretary of state, John Kerry, have their fingers on the fast-forward button.

Does anything sound sillier today than Israeli-American billionaire TV producer and Democrat megadonor Haim Saban's 2012 assurance, in the New York Times, that "by every tangible measure," Obama's "support for Israel's security and well-being has been rock solid"?

Well, what our secretary of state said about our most loyal ally in the Middle East in comments to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday wasn't very supportive of Israel: "Poof!"

Kerry was apparently echoing the most hostile Arab nations in saying that the Jewish state had blown up Israeli-Palestinian relations into an even bigger mess. What an insult to all the innocent Israelis slaughtered in the far bigger "poof!" of Islamist suicide bombings.

And this from an administration that promised "to focus our attention and influence on resolving the festering conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians," and from a politician, Kerry, who once promised Mideast miracles through "an aggressive, proactive, super-engaged, leveraged kind of diplomacy."

Now, in unprecedented harsh language, Israel says it is "deeply disappointed" in America and that our relationship is at its lowest point since the birth of the Mideast region's only democratic country 66 years ago.

Considering how close Islamofascist Iran is to being nuclear-armed, the deterioration of our relations with its primary target, Israel, couldn't come at a worse time.

During the committee hearing, an exasperated Sen. Jim Risch, R-Idaho, let Kerry know "our foreign policy is just spinning out of control," with America "losing control in virtually every area that we are trying to do something in." Risch named Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, North Korea and China along with Israel.

The U.S. power vacuum that has enticed Moscow to bully Ukraine and encouraged Pyongyang and Beijing to ramp up their aggression isn't just Kerry's fault. Nor is last year's Syria chemical weapons debacle.

Barack Obama, Kerry and his predecessor at State, Hillary Clinton, are the three major Democratic Party presidential candidates of the past decade.

From cutting and running in Iraq, to baiting and switching in Afghanistan, to slashing the military budget, we've suffered from the Obama-Kerry-Hillary vision of a shrunken, impotent America in the world. Blame Kerry only for putting that policy into overdrive.
