During World War II, they had a poster up in every defense plant and military base in America.

It didn’t mince words; it told it straight --

“Loose lips sink ships.”

Well, now our nation is saddled with a Commander in Chief who just doesn’t seem to get that message. Or, if he does, he simply doesn’t care.

Let me lay it on the line: Barack Obama’s loose lips are doing worse than sinking ships – they’re putting our entire nation at risk.

And if you and I don’t get this man out of office, he’s going to destroy our military, undermine every ally we have, and arm our enemies to the teeth.

All for his own sorry political purposes.

Now, I’m going to give it to you straight. Because after 27 years as a Navy SEAL officer – including serving as Commanding Officer of Naval Special Warfare Center, where our proud Navy SEALS train – I don’t know any other way.

And, I think you deserve to know the truth. 

Barack Obama has waged war on America’s military from the day he took office.

He’s already cut our defense budget so deeply that his own Secretary of Defense called it “devastating” to our national security. And the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff warned that because of Obama’s cuts, “we would no longer be a global power.”

Yet, while he is out gutting our military and yanking the guns from our troops’ hands, he is also taking credit for every move our brave soldiers make.

All for political gain – even when it puts their lives at high risk.

Frankly, as a 27-year SEAL officer, that makes me angry. And I have a feeling it does you, too.

And that’s why SOS needs your help now to bring the Obama travesty to an end.

A little over a year ago, when SEAL Team 6 took out Osama bin Laden, Barack Obama couldn’t wait to scurry before the cameras and take full credit.

I’m sure you remember that sorry spectacle. His whole speech was “I” …”I” … “I” … “I” … “I.”

As if he were the one who led the raid. As if he were the one who risked his life. As if he were the one covering his buddies' backs as they fought their way into that compound and back out.

Well, I can assure you that Barack Obama was not there. Those brave soldiers didn’t need him. And they wouldn’t have wanted him.

And there’s something else they wouldn’t have wanted either – Barack Obama blowing their cover the way he did.

Barack Obama’s loose lips took away the vital secrecy Navy SEALS need to continue their undercover missions.

And because he rushed to get in front of the cameras before the SEALS could even analyze the materials they had recovered, he also destroyed any chance for an effective follow-up.

All because Barack Obama wanted to make himself look tough – at the shameless expense of those who actually are.

Now, a year later, we find out that while Obama was out front blowing military secrets, his staff was behind the scenes doing the same.

His Administration’s backroom release of top secret documents to The New York Times has jeopardized covert operations worldwide. All for the cheapest of political purposes.

And it’s time you and I put a stop to it.

That’s why I am asking you now to help SOS expose the full truth about Barack Obama’s war on America’s military – and his administration’s continuing, deliberate release of top secret security documents.

I want you to know that every one of the men and women who has joined me to organize Special Operations Speaks is a former member of our nation’s Special Forces. Some are SEALS, some are Rangers, some are Air Commandos and some are Green Berets. The rest belong to other Special Ops units.

So, we know what happens when the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines we have trained and served with have their cover blown, their tactics revealed, and their operations compromised.

Let’s just say, when that happens, Barack Obama’s loose lips don’t just sink ships – they cost lives. The sacred lives of the best and the brightest.

The mainstream media, as I’m sure you’ve seen, is doing all that it can to follow Barack Obama’s campaign script and portray him as some sort of brave warrior.

Day after day they ignore or cover up his “devastating” defense cuts, his phony chest-pounding, and his deadly revelations of America’s top secrets.

And, unfortunately, millions and millions of Americans are not being told the truth.

That’s why my fellow former Special Operations officers and NCO’s  and I have, in essence, come out of retirement one more time to strap on the gear and fulfill our oaths.

We are already working with key Senate and House leaders to demand full congressional hearings into the Obama intelligence leaks.

And we’re prepared to launch a nationwide media blitz – TV ads, radio ads, news releases, and personal appearances throughout the country – to make sure the American people learn the full truth about Barack Obama’s war on America’s military.

I can promise you: We won’t rest until the job is done. That’s not our way.

PS: Like most Navy officers, the date of June 15, 1985, is seared in my memory. That’s the date Islamic terrorists hijacked TWA Flight 847 and brutally tortured Navy Seabee Robert Stethem to death. All he had to do was scream out for mercy, and he would have been allowed to live. But he refused to utter a sound.

The pilot of Flight 847 later said, “He was the bravest man I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Bob Stethem’s brother was a Navy SEAL; I know him. So, I know something of the stuff of which he was made. Warriors like him don’t scream out, they don’t beg for mercy, and they don’t ask for help.
