Democrats Eat Crow Over Chick-fil-A

Democrats support the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution only when it apples to their speech or speech they like or support.

No one gives a cluck about the current manufactured dust up the Democrats have manufactured with regard to their phony outrage at the comments of the Chick-fil-A president with regard to the morality of gay marriage.

Where was their outrage when Democrats nominated Barak Obama in 2008 as their candidate for president? After all, back then candidate Obama was against the legalization of gay marriage.

It is a fact that Obama received overwhelming support from the gay, lesbian, bi and transgender community in the presidential election of 2008 despite his stance against gay marriage.

For the first three-and-a-half years of his presidency, Obama held on to his beliefs on gay marriage. Curiously, on the eve of a tough re-elect, Obama claimed that his stance on gay marriage evolved and he is now for it.

This faux outrage is taken out of the Obama/Democrat 2012 playbook as part of a “3D” strategy of Distracting attention away from a record that cannot be defended, Distorting the facts, and Dividing the American people.

The Democrat attack on the First Amendment rights of others was made more offensive by the outright thuggery of the Democratic mayors of Chicago, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco who threatened a private business from attempting to do business or expand its business to their city based solely upon speech they personally do not agree with. They treat the city they represent as “theirs” when it is the peoples. Their behavior and demeanor is more in tune with a crime don than an elected mayor.

This is some of what these thugs said in their official capacities:

Chicago Mayor Emanuel: “Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago’s values.” He went on to state that they are not welcome in his city.

San Francisco Mayor Lee tweeted: “Closest#ChickfilA to San Francisco is 40 miles away & I strongly recommend that they not try to come any closer."

Washington, D.C. Mayor tweeted that Chick-fil-A was “hate chicken” and he went on to tell reporters that he would not support any attempt for the chain to expand in his city.

Even Mayor Bloomberg the independent from New York City and a supporter of gay marriage blasted his fellow big city mayors and said that it was inappropriate for a government entity, “to look at somebody's political views and decide whether or not they can live in the city, or operate a business in the city, or work for somebody in the city."

This type of organized lynching of an American business reminds me of the bigotry practiced by the worst elements of those opposed to civil rights in the 50s and 60s.

Whether it is Senator Reid abusing his office by making scandalous charges from the floor of the Senate against a private citizen or it is Democratic mayors of America’s largest cities threatening business with repercussions from the exercise of the free speech of its president, we are witnessing a dangerous and troubling acting out by public officials that have gone way beyond the norms of decency and lawfulness.

You know Democrats have gone too far when liberal comedian Jon Stewart who supports gay marriage responded to the statements of Democratic mayors as follows:

"Pretty sure you can't outlaw a company with perfectly legal business practices because you find their CEO's views repellant. Not sure which amendment covers that, but it's probably in the top one,"

Enough said.
